James Harden To Phoenix Suns? Oklahoma City Thunder Guard Says It's Possible - SB Nation Kansas City

Fans of the Oklahoma City Thunder are hoping that the current Olympic core of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden will continue to play together far beyond the current 2012 Summer Games in London and the upcoming NBA season. However, the prices of all three players will only continue to climb higher and Harden is the one not locked into a long-term deal. That means that the star shooting guard could play elsewhere. Perhaps one destination could be the Phoenix Suns, familiar turf for Harden.

"Yeah," he said. "Of course. I love it there. My mom lives there still. So that's definitely my second home as far as my comfort level and going to school there. But obviously, I'm with the Thunder right now and what we have is special."

Harden is the reigning sixth man in the NBA and many believe he could be a potential scoring champ if he was able to leave the shadow of Durant and company. However, Harden also admits he has a great thing with the Thunder right now.

"The kind of support we have in Oklahoma City, it's the best in the NBA," Harden said. "Phenomenal. Beards in the crowd, the whole nine (yards). The city is really something special."

Ultimately, Harden has to leave it up to the powers-that-be and just play through it all. The team also has a major deal to consider for Serge Ibaka, playing for Spain's national team, so it might be possible that one player is allowed to leave eventually.

"That's out of my hands," Harden said. "That's not my decision. That's the front office. I'll let them decide that."
