Lynetta Kizer made the cut.
The former Potomac High School basketball standout was one of 11 players named to the Tulsa Shockâs regular-season roster. The roster was narrowed down to the final number TuesdayKizer was a third-round pick by the Shock in last monthâs WNBA Draft. The 6-foot-4 center was selected out of the University of Maryland, where she was a four-year standout for the Terrapins.
In two preseason games with Tulsa, Kizer averaged 5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Her best performance was May 11 when she played 20 minutes and scored seven points to go along with five rebounds.
Kizer was drafted primarily by Tulsa to help the team in the rebounding category.
Tulsa opens its regular season Saturday with a home game against San Antonio.
Two rookies were waived by Tulsa, including another third-round pick Vicki Baugh.
