Oklahoma City Thunder's style is in; Miami Heat's is out - Washington Post (blog)

There wasn’t much to dislike about Kevin Durant’s fourth-quarter performance in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s victory over the Miami Heat in Game 1 of their NBA Finals series.

Unless you happened to be one of the two guys in designer suits sitting in a sea of Thunder blue. That would be Alonzo Mourning on the left, Pat Riley on the right, disappointment their invisible friend in the middle. (The SB Nation gif is, um, mesmerizing.)

Afterward, Durant went with a professorial look, picking up style points as he explained how he managed to light up the Heat for 17 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter of the Thunder’s 105-94 victory.

The real post-game story, though, was Russell Westbrook’s fashion choice after his 27-point performance

“Russell can wear anything [including a shirt with fishing lures],” Coach Scott Brooks said (via the Oklahoman). “He's great looking, he has an incredible body, a great smile. Anything, he's going to look good.”

Next to these guys â€" on the court and in the interview room â€" the Heat look passe. Maybe they should bring the “good job, good effort” kid to Oklahoma City.
