Lil Wayne Rejected by Oklahoma City Thunder, Denied Entrance to NBA's Western ... - Miami New Times (blog)

Scan the first few rows at a Miami Heat home game and you're sure to find a few celebrities. Birdman, for example, got plenty of TV time during Wednesday's win against the Boston Celtics. Oh, and Rick Ross, Diddy, Gloria Estefan ... They're all regulars at the AAA.

On the other hand, celebrities are few and far between at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, home of the Oklahoma City Thunder. In fact, they're turned away at the door. And last night, Lil Wayne got the big celebrity rejection.

"Was going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena," Wayne tweeted last night. "Wow. Smh. Go Spurs!"

According to TMZ, the reason Oklahoma City Thunder bouncers stopped Weezy last night was because the rapper didn't have a ticket.

"We did not deny him," a Thunder representative tells TMZ. "His representatives contacted us about court side tickets and we told them we are completely sold out."

Evidently, Oklahomans treat celebrities like regular people. They don't bend rules for entertainment's elite. Instead, they reserve seats for rich white men, oil tycoons, and commercial cattle ranchers.

Come back to Miami, Weezy. Even if the game's "sold out," your seat's open, bro.
