2012 NBA Mock Draft: Oklahoma City Thunder Take Vanderbilt's Jeff Taylor - SB Nation

Year after year, the Oklahoma City Thunder find a way to turn every draft choice into a strong asset for the roster. Whether they're picking in the top of the lottery and adding a player like Kevin Durant or James Harden, choosing a little later and grabbing Russell Westbrook or sitting near the bottom of the first and landing Serge Ibaka, Sam Presti's reputation as the team's general manager is pretty much flawless. They'll hope to do the same this year in the 2012 NBA Draft.

Chad Ford has the team taking Vanderbilt's Jeff Taylor in his latest mock draft for ESPN, and Ford says he'll round out the roster nicely as a strong defensive addition. Ford writes, "An elite athlete, Taylor can be a lockdown defender and has range on his jumper. He's probably undervalued at this point, but that happens to seniors. The Thunder will capitalize."

Taylor is a 6-7, 225 lb. senior who averaged 16.1 points per game last year for the Commodores. He also shot 42 percent from three-point range.
