Hodges, a veteran guard who will be joining her fifth team in eight seasons, shot over 40 percent from the field in three of the last four seasons. Tulsa currently ranks last in the WNBA in field-goal percentage.
In 12 games off the bench this year for the Fever, she averaged 3.2 points in 8.9 minutes. Hodgesâ best season came in 2009, when she started 27 games for the Minnesota Lynx and averaged 9.9 points per game.
âRoneeka is a veteran pro who is a proven three-point shooter with excellent scoring ability,â Tulsa coach Gary Kloppenburg said in the release. âShe gives us an added outside scoring threat and is also a good defender.â
Christmas had started the Shockâs last four games. The second-year guard was averaging 3.6 points in 11.5 minutes per game in 14 games played this year.
Hodges is the twin sister of Doneeka Lewis, who played in five games for Tulsa last season.
Tulsaâs next game is Friday at 7 p.m. against the Connecticut Sun in the BOK Center.
