The Oklahoma City Thunder werenât able to pull out a win in game four of the NBA Championship last night against the Miami Heat in Miami. Despite jumping to an early and big lead in the first quarter, the Oklahoma City Thunder was not able to hold that lead and lost 104-98
KWTV Channel 9 News in Oklahoma City reported on June 19th that the first quarter ended with the Oklahoma City Thunder ahead of the Miami Heat 33-19. At the half, that lead was cut to only three points. The lead changes went back and forth throughout the second half, but the Miami Heat was able to have the lead when the final buzzer sounded.
âThey say it canât be done - that we canât win three in a row and win the championship,â Alicia Brown, an Oklahoma City Thunder fan from Norman, said. âWeâll just have to show them. I know the [Oklahoma City] Thunder can do it. Weâve done the impossible all year and we wonât stop doing it now.â
âRussell [Westbrook] had a killer game last night,â Steve Watts, an Oklahoma City Thunder fan from Mustang, said. âIf he could have owned the refs the way he owned the [Miami] Heat, things would look a lot different going into game five.â
Point guard Russell Westbrook did have an outstanding game. He had 43 points with seven rebounds and five assists. Russell Westbrook was only nine points away from doubling the points scored by the Miami Heatâs big man, LeBron James. James was only able to score 26 points all night.
âTake that, Magic Johnson,â Kelly Brand, an Oklahoma City from Bethany, said. âWorst point guard? Russell [Westbrook] is great. If he wasnât one of the best, if not the best, we wouldnât have gotten this far.â
âThursday night is a new game,â Matt Carter, an Oklahoma City Thunder fan from Oklahoma City, said. âI believe in the [Oklahoma City] Thunder. I know they can come back and win it all. All we have to do is get the series back to Oklahoma and, between the Thunderâs great play and the fanâs faith, our will to win will defeat the [Miami] Heat.â
Game five of the NBA Championship will be played in Miami. It starts at 8 p.m. CST. Game six and game seven, which will be necessary according to the Oklahoma City Thunder fans, will be in Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. Game six will start at 7 p.m. CST and game seven will start at 8 p.m. CST. All of the NBA Championship games can be seen on ABC.
