For a brief moment on June 8, the night before the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics would square of in the decisive Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, NBA.com began selling blue shirts that read, âBeat the Heat,â as reported by Larry Brown of Yardbarker.com:
It looks like the NBA Store jumped the gun yet again. For a brief period on Friday evening, a âBeat the Heatâ Oklahoma City Thunder T-shirt was being sold on NBA.com. If you look carefully, youâll notice an NBA Finals logo at the bottom of the shirt.
In March, NBA.com made another mistake by temporarily selling the Dwight Howardâs jersey on a Nets t-shirt as if the franchise center for the Orlando Magic had played for the New Jersey Nets.
A month earlier, in February, the website for the New York Giants declared the team Super Bowl Champions days before the Giants would play in the big game.
