Temeka Johnson blogs: Tulsa Shock comes up short against San Antonio - NOLA.com

Temeka Johnson, Kenner native, Bonnabel and LSU graduate and the point guard for the Tulsa Shock of the WNBA, will be filing reports this season.

Hello there,

SB050812 TulsaShockMedia2012 10889.jpgTemeka Johnson is back playing again in the WNBA, this time with the Tulsa Shock.

So we have completed our first game and we came up short against the San Antonio Silver Stars. We played 38 good minutes of basketball and gave it away in the last two minutes and lost 88-79.

It was a heart-breaker for our opener, but there was a lot of promising things that we can capitalize on.

I want to share with you all a little about this Tulsa Shock team. It is fairly young but talented and hungry and has a lot of energy. I am extremely happy with the way things are looking right now. There is a lot of promise to this team. Our staff is dedicated and so are the people that are involved with helping make this organization better. So far things have been pretty good and I know it will continue to get better.

We will take on the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the BOK Center and this is another chance for us to improve and get better.

That's all for now. I will be back in touch with all of you sooon.

Go Shock!
