2012 NBA Finals schedule ready for Oklahoma City Thunder - Examiner.com

The 2012 NBA Finals schedule is finally set. With the Oklahoma City Thunder defeating the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night (June 6), the host team has been decided.  Oklahoma City will now host Game 1 of the 2012 NBA Finals schedule on Tuesday, June 12. Game time is 8 p.m. CT, with ABC serving as the network that will televise all the games. Beating the Spurs in just six games is an amazing accomplishment for the former Seattle Sonics, giving the franchise its best chance at a title in nearly 15 years.

Oklahoma City finished with a better regular season record than the two teams left playing in the Eastern Conference Finals, earning the home court advantage. In the other series, the Boston Celtics lead the Miami Heat 3-2 with Game 6 taking place Thursday night (June 7). If Boston can close out the series, they will get to host Games 3 through 5 in the series.  Game 3 will take place in either Boston or Miami on Sunday, June 17. Game time is 8 p.m. ET on that night.

With Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden leading the way, Oklahoma City certainly stands a great chance at raising a banner for the home town fans very soon. Boton or Miami might have something to say about it, especially if the Eastern Conference champion can get healthy by the time June 12 roles around.
