The Tulsa Drillers teamed up with DVIS (Domestic Violence Intervention Services) to bring awareness to sexual assault Thursday night.

The Tulsa Drillers and the Frisco RoughRiders played the second game of their three-game series at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at ONEOK Field.

The pitching match up featured Tulsa native Parker Frazier (2-4, 3.06 ERA) for the Drillers against Justin Grimm (6-3, 2.34 ERA) of the RoughRiders.

Tulsa's Channel 8's own Chris Lincoln and Laura Moss are acting as coaches this season, and Laura Moss threw out Thursday night's first pitch.

The 2012 baseball season marks the ninth year that the Tulsa Drillers have partnered with DVIS/Call Rape to turn home runs into hope for local families in crisis with the Knock Out Violence program.

Knock Out Violence is a fundraiser in which supporters of the Tulsa Drillers and friends of DVIS/Call Rape can make pledges for each home run hit by the team this season.

According to DVIS, one in every four women in the Tulsa area is affected by domestic and sexual violence.

According to the Hathor Legacy, one in ten rape victims are men.

For more information on pledging to DVIS, e-mail info@dvis.org or call 918-508-2705.
