Philbrook, Tulsa Drillers, Mother's Day - Tulsa World

Saturday: Tulsa Drillers

Tulsa continues its eight-game homestand with Saturday and Sunday games against Arkansas at ONEOK Field. The Saturday start is 7:05 p.m., while Sunday's first pitch is 2:05 p.m. On Saturday, the first 1,500 fans 12-and-younger to enter the Oil Derrick or Arvest/Brady Street entrances receive a free soccer ball. Sunday is a "Family Funday," with the first 500 fans 12-and-younger receiving a voucher for a free hot dog, ice cream and milk. The first 500 moms receive a carnation. Saturday: Philbrook

Enjoy free admission to Philbrook Museum on Saturday.

Live music, lemonade and children's activities will be part of the day's events. While you're there, check out the museum's "Seeking the Sacred: Religious Ritual in Native American Art," a world-renowned collection of 20th-century American Indian paintings.

Also, the museum is hosting its annual Mother's Day Sunday Brunch at la Villa Restaurant.

Weekend museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.



Saturday-Sunday: Rooster Days

Broken Arrow's Rooster Days Festival continues at Central Park, 1500 S. Main St., through Sunday.

Carnival rides and games, food, live music, and arts and crafts will all be part of the festival. Carnival hours will be noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Live music will also be playing at the farmers market pavilion, 418 S. Main St.

The parade is set for 10 a.m. Saturday on Main Street.

Saturday: Stamp Out Hunger

Be a part of the Stamp Out Hunger food drive Saturday by leaving some nonperishable food at your mailbox.

Mail carriers will pick up the donations. Items donated in Tulsa will then be delivered to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Food collected outside of the Tulsa metro area will stay in those areas.

Items needed include low-sodium canned vegetables and canned meats, such as chicken and tuna.



Saturday: 'Guess Who's Coming to Seder?'

Randi Michaels Block's musical "Guess Who's Coming to Seder?" - presented by Tulsa Project Theatre - ends its run at the Tulsa Convention Center on Saturday.

The story follows a young woman who hasn't been observant of her Jewish faith. But then she is prompted to host a Seder, a traditional feast that marks the beginning of Passover, for herself and nine friends - none of whom are Jewish.

The final performance will be at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $22-$32, available at tulsaworld.com/tpttix



Saturday-Sunday: Trail Days

Owasso's annual festival, Trail Days, runs through Sunday. Carnival rides, a parade and Pet Fest are among the festival's activities.

Sam's Amusements has set up the carnival at 76th Street North and U.S. 169. Hours are noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Ride passes are $15-$20.

The Trail Days parade will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, traveling south on Main Street starting at Third Street.

Saturday-Sunday: Theater productions

The Tony Award-winning musical "Fiddler on the Roof" continues through Sunday at the Tulsa PAC's Chapman Music Hall. Tickets are $20-$60.

Also at the PAC until Sunday is "The Unmentionables," playing at the Charles E. Norman Theatre. Tickets are $25.

"Arsenic and Old Lace" will be at the PAC's Liddy Doenges Theatre through May 19, with performances this week on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $12.

Sunday: Mother's Day

Sunday's the day to spoil your mom and show her how much you appreciate her. Buy her something nice, or take her out for the day.

Or head to the Tulsa Zoo, where all guests receive half-price admission on Mother's Day. The Oklahoma Aquarium is offering free admission to moms on their special day.
