Olympics schedule 2012: Men's basketball, August 4 - Examiner.com

With three games down in the Olympics schedule 2012 basketball play, there are only three undefeated teams remaining and two of them play on August 4. Team USA, Spain and Russia remain the sole unbeaten teams, with Spain and Russia battling in the biggest game of the day.

4:00 a.m. ET â€" Tunisia vs. France: France sits at 2-1 in Summer Olympics play, with their only loss coming to Team USA. They take on a winless Tunisia team, one of only three teams remaining without a victory in the competition.

6:15 a.m. ET â€" Russia vs. Spain: The biggest game of the day pits undefeated Spain against the equally undefeated Russia. Spain, favored to make it to the medal rounds, has not been as dominant as expected and only pulled out a one-point win over Great Britain. Russia had some problems against China but has looked very strong so far in 2012.

9:30 a.m. ET â€" Lithuania vs. Team USA: Team USA just broke the record for most points ever scored in a Summer Olympics game and might be coming into Game 4 a little overconfident. However, they are taking on a 1-2 Lithuania team, and should have few problems.

11:45 a.m. ET â€" China vs. Brazil: China is 0-3 despite coming into the 2012 Summer Olympics with high hopes. They will struggle to win another game after star Yi Jianlian suffered a knee injury in their loss to Australia. They face a 2-1 Brazil squad, whose only loss was to Russia.

3:00 p.m. ET â€" Great Britain vs. Australia: Great Britain is winless in 2012 play, and face an Australia team that sits at 1-2. This does not look to be a very exciting game, but should be better than the last one of the day.

5:15 p.m. ET â€" Nigeria vs. Argentina: Nigeria is 1-2 in the 2012 Summer Olympics, but just lost to Team USA by 83 points, the most lopsided Olympics loss ever. The team’s mettle will be challenged as they face a 2-1 Argentina team whose only loss came to France.

The Olympics schedule 2012 basketball play can be seen on NBC.
