Oklahoma City Thunder finish Summer League with a 3-2 record - Examiner.com

The Oklahoma City Thunder finished their week of Summer League play with a 89-75 win over the Utah Jazz on July 13. It was a solid win as some of the players who sat out on Thursday returned on Friday to put together a solid performance.

“I think everybody from one to 12 just gave it their all,” said Summer league head coach Mark Bryant. "These guys played hard all week. We had misfortune the first two games, but I think we were just getting used to one another. Once we got cohesiveness, the guys really started playing.

One player who sat out Game 4 was second year player Reggie Jackson.

He returned to the court on Friday, along with Lazar Hayward and Cole Aldrich and the Thunder just seemed to click on all cylinders. In the fourth quarter, Oklahoma City erased a Utah 11-point lead thanks in large part to a one-minute period where the Thunder forced eight turnovers and made four steals.

“[Jackson is] just one of those guys,” Bryant said. “He has a good nose for the ball and he knows his strengths and he plays hard to it. He’s given himself a chance, the way he played in this Summer League.”

Latavious Williams also continued to impress. The forward finished the game with 10 rebounds, eight offensively, and finished the Summer League with 27 overall. While he won’t play with Oklahoma City in 2012, he will be a weapon for them down the line as he matures the rest of his game.
