Lakers Vs. Nuggets Final Score: Kobe Bryant Helps L.A. Triumph In Denver - SB Nation Kansas City

As the Oklahoma City Thunder kick back and enjoy an extra day or two of rest after taking out the defending NBA champion Dallas Mavericks in four straight games, they also await the winner of the current series between the Denver Nugget and Los Angeles Lakers. While the Lakers were already favored to win, the Nuggets were down 2-1 heading into Sunday night's game and could have evened the series. The Lakers seem ready to move on, however, and took control of the series with a 92-88 win in game four.

The Lakers took over in the second half last night after being down six at halftime. It's an impressive road win for a team that is only 15-18 away from the Forum on the season. Kobe Bryant scored 22 points to lead LA. He also added 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Pau Gasol had 13 points and Andrew Bynum scored 19.

The Lakers are now up 3-1 and hold an extreme advantage in the series. If the Thunder and Lakers match up again soon, it will be very interesting when Metta World Peace returns from his suspension after hitting James Harden with his elbow in the head.
