New York Knicks Vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: Carmelo Anthony Unlikely To Play - SB Nation

The New York Knicks will most likely face the 10-2 Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday night in Oklahoma City (8 p.m. ET/MSG) without star forward Carmelo Anthony. Anthony, averaging 25.5 points per game, has a sprained ankle and a sore wrist.

“I’m real sore,” Anthony told the Knicks’ official website. "Hopefully, I will be alright. I can wrap the wrist and play through that. A sore ankle is a little bit more to deal with.

The Knicks (6-5) will need to get star forward Amare Stoudemire untracked to have a chance against Kevin Durant and the Thunder. Stoudemire had just six points in a loss to Memphis earlier in the week. He is still averaging 19.2 points and 8.3 rebounds for the Knicks, but has sometimes appeared out of place ina New York offense that revolves around Anthony.
