The early NBA season has been quite a grind so far. Some teams have played a ton of games, like the Los Angeles Lakers with 14 games in the first 21 days of the season, while others have played very few, like the Los Angeles Clippers with their nine games to date. Saturday's games gave us a glimpse into the league in the early going.
Oklahoma City Thunder 104, New York Knicks 92: Kevin Durant scored 28 points to lead Oklahoma City to their sixth straight win. The Thunder have established themselves as the class of the Western Conference, and don't be surprised if they run away and hide with the best record in the west.
Chicago Bulls 77, Toronto Raptors 64: Chicago continued their defensive romp through the Eastern Conference, and stand at 12-2. Derrick Rose had 18 points and 11 assists in the win.
Indiana Pacers 97, Boston Celtics 83: Boston is 4-7 so far this season. That's too bad.
Houston Rockets 107, Portland Trail Blazers 104 (OT): Portland got off to such a hot start, but all of a sudden have lost three straight contests. Last night the Rockets' backcourt of Kyle Lowry and Kevin Martin combined for 61 points, with Lowry (33 points, eight rebounds, nine assists) nearly getting a triple-double.
