De'Vante Harris Decommits From Oklahoma Sooners - SB Nation

De'Vante Harris

The reasons are unclear, but Harris has definitely decommitted.

Jan 7, 2012 - De'Vante Harris, one of the top athletes in the country, has decommitted from the Oklahoma Sooners, reports Crimson and Cream Machine. Harris stars for Horn High School (Mesquite, Tx.). He holds multiple SEC, Big XII and ACC offers.

He is rated four-stars by most major services, and all evaluators rank him as one of the top 15 corners in the country. The 5'1'0", 160-pound Harris possesses a lot of good attributes for a cornerback recruit.

The best part of Harris' game? Quickness. Harris might not possess world-class speed, but he reaches top gear faster than just about anyone else in this class.

Crimson and Cream Machine calls this bizarre:

I say bizarre because Harris had long been one of the most vocal members of the verbal commitments, routinely professing his love of all things OU. He had been actively recruiting other players to join him in Norman as recently as this week while he was participating in the Under Armour All-American game in Florida.

Harris recently participated and impressed in the Under Armour All-America Game.
