The Big 12 has officially received its first skills position player from Penn State after the recent sexual abuse scandal and ensuing cover-up rocked the school and football program with sanctions that allowed current players to transfer without issue. Oklahoma is the destination of choice for wide receiver Justin Brown, and that's big news for a Sooners squad already projected in the national title picture.
"At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Brown instantly becomes the biggest receiver on Oklahoma's roster," writes Joe Schad. "He was Penn State's second-leading receiver last season, grabbing 35 catches for 517 yards and two touchdowns. He was the Nittany Lions' most experienced returning receiver."
The Texas Longhorns also added kicker Anthony Fera in recent days as well and the exodus might not be finished. While a majority of players seem content to stay and help the school chart a positive course through some troubled times, some players are bound to see just how difficult the road will be and transfer at some point. The Big 12 offers several high profile programs for those with future pro dreams.
