Orlando Magic GM Search Includes OKC Thunder Personnel - SB Nation

Phil Jackson was on the wish list and even flirted with the team. Donnie Walsh took himself out of consideration. Now the Orlando Magic are turning to personnel with slightly less amounts of notoriety to fill their general manager post. The list includes two members of the Oklahoma City Thunder front office. That's not surprising considering the tremendous success the team is enjoying not only this year, but what looks like for years to come.

David Aldridge writes, "The Magic's list of general manager candidates remains at five: former Portland general manager Kevin Pritchard, Oklahoma City assistant general manager Troy Weaver, Thunder assistant general manager Rob Hennigan, Spurs assistant general manager Dennis Lindsey and former Hornets general manager Jeff Bower. Former Pacers and Knicks executive Donnie Walsh had been on the list, but Walsh removed himself from consideration last week."

The Magic would love to hit a home run, perhaps to even help the team keep Dwight Howard content, but settling for an up-and-coming architect from one of the NBA's best teams isn't a bad way to go. The next person in line for the job will have a lot of major decisions to make rather quickly.
