Oklahoma City Thunder fans putting away brooms as Los Angeles Lakers fans summon - Examiner.com

The hopes of the Oklahoma City Thunder fans for another sweep were dashed Friday night when the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in game three of the second round of the NBA play-offs, KWTV Channel 9 News in Oklahoma City is currently reporting. The Lakers won 99-96 in tough game at their home court in Los Angeles.

“Maybe the UFOs arrived early and took over the bodies of the [Los Angeles] Lakers,” Wesley Olson, an Oklahoma City Thunder fan from Oklahoma City, said. “I really thought we’d get another sweep. Something very weird must have happened.”

Although another sweep, just like the one against the Dallas Mavericks in the first round, is now impossible, the Oklahoma City Thunder still lead the series two games to one. The fourth game will be played tonight at 9:30 CDT at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Oklahoma City Thunder fans still believe their young team can win the NBA Championship.

“The Thunder had really taken control over the [Los Angeles] Lakers,” Olson continued. “I’m not worried. It was one game. This way we get to beat them here at home.”

The key to the game seemed to be free throws. The Los Angeles Lakers only missed one free three throughout the entire game. Kevin Durant scored 31 points last night, leading the team.

Although the past two games have been much closer than the first game, it still appears the Los Angeles Lakers are having difficulty playing against the Thunder. Many Lakers fans are praying for a miracle.

That miracle may just be the UFOs being summoned by Robert Bingham. Just like he did on April 17th of this year, Bingham is going to “summon UFOs.” Robert Bingham will be at the Park Plaza hotel, only two miles from the Staples Center, summoning UFOs and their alien pilots to Los Angeles.

“Basketball and UFOs,” Mindy Thomas, another Oklahoma City Thunder fan from Oklahoma City, said. “Only in California. Maybe the thought of UFOs and aliens will spook the Lakers. Or, do their Martian magic and help the [Oklahoma City] Thunder.”

It is unknown if Robert Bingham will be successful. It is also unclear if the Los Angeles Lakers will be able to pull off another victory. Basketball fans will have to watch the skies and the game to see if two miracles will take place in Los Angeles later tonight.
