Los Angeles Lakers Fall to Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2 - Online Sportsbook Pro

The Oklahoma City Thunder won Game 1 of their second-rounds playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers in blowout fashion by 29 points. Not only did the Thunder embarrass the Lakers at Chesapeake Energy Arena right out of the gate in this series, but they were able to get out to leads as much as 35 points and made many believe that this matchup was extremely lopsided.

Unfortunately for the Thunder, the Lakers are as resilient as any team in the league with five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant leading the way. With that being said, Los Angeles came out with a vengeance in Game 2 as they were determined to even up the series before heading back to the Staples Center for the next two games.

With a new game plan on the defensive end of the floor, the Lakers were able to figure out how to defend the explosive offense of the Thunder. Oklahoma City couldn’t seem to get on track on Wednesday night with the Lakers proving that they are a force to be reckoned with and won’t be going down without a fight in this series.

All-Star center Andrew Bynum and Kobe led the way offensively for the Lakers with 20 points apiece. The duel threat of these All-Stars was enough to keep the Thunder at bay and control the tempo for the majority of the game, but after a 9-0 run in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter, the Thunder were able to chip away and ultimately get the win, 77-75.

Needless to say, this loss was a heartbreaker for the Lakers as they had the game in hand late in the fourth and were on the verge of taking home court advantage heading back to Los Angeles for Game 3.

Unfortunately, the Lakers fell short and will try to even the series with two games at the Staples Center in consecutive nights.
